 “Funny Money” – a comedy by Ray Cooney.

Performance dates 2012 –

Friday 18/5; Saturday 19/5; Sunday (matinee) 20/5; Thursday 24/5; Friday 25/5; Saturday 26/5

 Performances will be held at Knox Community Arts Centre, Cnr Mountain Hwy and Scoresby Road, Bayswater

Rehearsals are planned for Sunday & Thursday evenings in Rowville for approximately 12 weeks.

Brief Synopsis

Jean is preparing a birthday dinner for her mild mannered accountant husband. When he arrives home he is not himself and suggests they immigrate to Barcelona. The reason is that Henry has found a briefcase containing £735,000 in used £50 notes. Setting off a chain of events that involves his wife pretending to be his sister-in-law, his friends becoming his relatives and himself turning into his own brother. As the lies get bigger, the twists become more complicated and the cuckoo clock explodes in a hail of bullets.
