BILL IRVINE as Gerry Stratton

Bill has been involved in theatre for over 30 years. He started in musicals with Dandenong then moving to many groups in the district. Recent plays have included “Chorus of Disapproval” with Mordialloc, “Cosi” with Dandenong, “L’Habeu Corpus” with Mitcham. He has said that playing Gerry Stratton feels strange as it feels as if he is playing the part of his own father; owning a building firm, having two sons and always struggling to get paid!

JILL HIAM as Laura Stratton

Jill has been involved with Knox Theatre Company since 1984 and has worked in all facets of theatre. She has acted in a number of plays for Knox including “Move over Mrs Markham”, “Not now Darling” and “The Secret Life of Jeremy J Jones”. As well as acting she has also directed “Busybody”, “I ought to be in pictures” nd “Last of the red hot lovers” to name a few. This role is very different to others she has played and is the most challenging.

DARIO DALLA COSTA as Glyn Stratton

Dario studied theatre at the University of Western Australia and completed a Master of Arts Thesis entitled “The Complexities of Farce” with a case study in Faulty Towers. He enjoys performing Shakespeare and has performed for a number of years in both English and Italian including as Zoltan Karpathy in the ACT Inc Pro-Am Production of My Fair Lady at the Comedy Theatre. This is his 28th play as an actor.

JANE HOLMES as Stephanie Stratton

Jane performed in her High School productions of “Okalahoma” and “Fiddler on the Roof” but since then has not ventured on stage until she joined Knox Theatre Company’s drama workshop by accident in January 2006. Jane has enjoyed the theatre experience as a good release from the day to day grind. She brings great emotion to her character, which she says has been the most challenging part.

DAMIAN SCIPIONE as Adam Stratton

Damian is currently studying at the National Theatre in St Kilda and has not performed on stage since High School. He owns a successful Jewellery business called “Gem Reflections”. He enjoys acting and theatre because of the new challenges and because it is an escape from everyday life. Damian likes to travel and take road trips, and he used to be a state swimmer.

RENEE ST CLAIR as Maureen

Renee has been studying at Drama with a Difference professional class for one and a half years and while there performed in two showcases. She studied theatre studies and dance in VCE and performed in numerous productions including “Antigone”, “Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors” and monologues “A Woman Alone” and “Atlanta”. She is interested in singing, script writing, hip hop and funk dancing.

SCOTT RUSSELL as The Waiters

Scott was a National Theatre Student for three years. Scott is a multi talented actor with experience in musicals, comedy and dramatic interpretations. He has appeared in the musicals “Jonah Man Jazz” and “Salad Boys”, and has appeared for Knox in “Ski Wizz”, “Previously Daylight Savings”, “Bedwinner” and a “Panto”. Scott plays all the waiters in this production and lends his unique skill to each.
